Justin Chon just
finished filming a lead role in the feature film,
FROM THE ROUGH playing opposite Oscar nominees,
Taraji P. Henson and Michael Clarke Duncan. The
film, about the first black, female collegiate
men’s golf coach will hit theaters in 2011.
Next up for this talented actor is the filming of
THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN in which he will
reprise his role as Eric Yorkie in the mega vampire
series of films based on the best selling novels by
Stephenie Meyer. Chon stars as the nerdy and
comedic relief in TWILIGHT, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW
MOON and THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.
In 2009, he had a supporting lead role in the
Weinstein Company feature film, CROSSING OVER. The
film, directed by Wayne Kramer, also stars Harrison
Ford, Ray Liota and Ashley Judd. The dramatic film
deals with immigration in the United States. Chon
plays a teen struggling with his former culture in
Korea and his new culture as an adolescent on the
tough streets of Los Angeles.
This busy actor also completed a role in the
feature film comedy,
BALLS OUT: THE GARY HOUSEMAN STORY opposite Sean
William Scott and Randy Quaid. Chon plays Joe
Chang, a member of the tennis team under the
direction of Scott.
In addition, Chon has another starring role in the
December 2007 released
comedy-horror movie HACK opposite Danica McKeller,
William Forsythe
and a host of other recognizable names.
TV fans know Chon as a series regular starring on
the hit Nickelodeon
series JUST JORDAN playing the best friend of the
title character. The
comedic series deals with the everyday trials and
tribulations of high
school students living in Los Angeles.
Disney Channel enthusiasts will know Chon from his
role in the Disney
tele-film, WENDY WU: HOMECOMING WARRIOR. He plays
the role of
Wendy’s older brother, Peter Wu.
Born and raised in Southern California, Chon’s
parents migrated from
Korea where his father was a well-known television
and film actor and his
mother was an accomplished pianist. A typical
Californian, he grew up on
the beach while surfing, skateboarding, playing
tennis and hitting the golf
course. This multitalented actor also plays the
guitar, piano, violin and the
saxophone.
Chon continues to live in Los Angeles and when he
is not working you can
find him in acting classes studying with some of
the top acting coaches in
the business. Justin Chon is definitely a young
actor to pay attention to on
both the big and small screens!
